Assignments from my time in Honors 496 during Spring 2016.
Artifact 1: Mechanical Drawings
Internship @ Roseburg Forest Products, Summer 2015 These drawing are the result of my 3 months spent in southern Oregon at a plywood factory. I had to learn as much as possible about the industry as well as new CAD program (AutoCAD). Sadly, I didn't get to see my design be built and installed, but I think it's pretty cool that it will probably be there for 20+ years. |

Artifact 1: Laser Cut Project
ME 480, Spring 2016 I liked this project because it's one of those things that look really impressive o people who don't know much about the technology. Even though using a laser cutter is literally just uploading a file, pressing a button and then standing there to make sure it doesn't catch fire. Plus I get to keep the plane! |
Artifact 3: Torre de Hércules - A Coruña, Galicia, Spain
Honors Study Abroad, Summer 2013 A lot of my favorite memories from UW were during my study abroad in Germany and Spain the summer after freshman year. I love this photo of our group (plus a group from New York and a few Russian students) climbing toward a lighthouse in northern Spain because it was one of many moments when I realized how fortunate I was to be having this experience. |
